Service · Link Building

Slower than what you have been sold. It lasts longer.

Links still decide a great deal, which is why the market for them is full of people selling volume. Ten links a month, same price every month, from wherever they can be had.

That works until it does not, and unwinding it costs more than the links ever earned. I build fewer links, from places that have a reason to link to you.

In short

Relevance-first link acquisition, plus assessment and cleanup of what you already have. Fewer links, better placed.

From [ $X ] per month

No PBNs, no link farms, no packages priced per link. If that is what you are shopping for, I am not the right supplier.

Symptoms

Where link conversations usually start

We need more links. Said every month for a year, while the graph stayed flat.

Their domain is just stronger. Sometimes true. Often it means they have twelve relevant links and you have four hundred irrelevant ones.

We bought links and now we are worried. Reasonably. Historic link damage is one of the more common causes of a site that cannot move.

We publish great content and nobody links to it. Content does not earn links on its own. Somebody has to know it exists.

Our agency sends a monthly link report. Full of directories, profiles and sites that exist only to sell links.

The useful question is never how many. It is whether a real audience of a relevant site would plausibly follow that link.

How I approach links

Relevance first, then authority, then volume

In that order, and the order is the whole point. A modest link from a site your customers actually read outperforms a stack of high-metric links from sites nobody visits.

1

Assess what you have

What is helping, what is neutral, and what is actively holding you back. Sites with historic paid links often need cleanup before acquisition is worth starting.

2

Find the real opportunities

Who links to your competitors and not to you, who covers your sector, and which of your pages could plausibly earn a link if anyone knew about them.

3

Earn the placement

Outreach with something worth linking to — data, tools, genuine expertise, or a resource that fills a gap the linking site actually has.

4

Support it internally

External links are wasted if the authority cannot flow to the pages that need it. Internal linking is the cheapest part of link building and the most neglected.

What you get

Links you would be comfortable showing a client

The test I apply is simple: if this link were on a public list of your backlinks, would it embarrass you? A surprising amount of what agencies deliver would.

  • A profile assessment. What you have, what it is worth, and whether anything needs disavowing or removing.
  • A target list with reasoning. Each prospect with a stated reason it would link to you, not just a metric.
  • Placements, reported honestly. Live URLs, the anchor used, and what it cost in effort. No inflated counts.
  • Internal linking improvements. Because moving authority to the right pages is usually faster than acquiring more of it.
  • Clear boundaries. What I will not do, stated before we start, so there are no surprises in your profile later.

How it runs

How link work runs

1

Audit the profile

Yours and your closest competitors. This alone often explains a ranking gap that looked mysterious.

2

Fix what is broken

Reclaim lost links, fix broken ones pointing at you, and deal with anything toxic before adding more.

3

Build the assets

Identify or create the pages that can realistically earn links. Not everything can, and pretending otherwise wastes outreach.

4

Outreach, steadily

Fewer, better, ongoing. Reported with live URLs so you can check every one.

Fit

Who this suits

Worth it if

  • You have a site with something genuinely linkable, or the appetite to build it
  • You have been burned by a volume link supplier and want to reset
  • Your competitors clearly out-link you and you need to close the gap
  • You can be patient for a quarter or two

Not worth it if

  • You want a fixed number of links per month at a fixed price
  • You need movement inside 30 days
  • You want the cheapest cost per link on the market
  • You are not willing to have anything worth linking to

FAQ

Questions about link building

How many links will I get per month?

I do not sell links by the month, because the number is the wrong unit. One placement on a genuinely relevant site can be worth more than thirty from a network. I will tell you what I think is achievable at a given level of effort, and report exactly what lands.

Do you buy links?

No. Not PBNs, not link farms, not paid placements dressed up as guest posts on sites built for the purpose. Partly because it is against Google guidelines, mostly because I have spent years cleaning up after it.

We bought links before. Are we in trouble?

Possibly, and it is worth finding out properly rather than worrying. Sometimes the damage is real and needs disavowing or removal at source. Sometimes the links are simply being ignored and the actual problem is elsewhere. The assessment tells you which.

Should we use the disavow file?

Less often than people think. Google ignores most low-quality links on its own, and an over-aggressive disavow can remove links that were helping you. It is a tool for genuine, identifiable damage — usually a history of paid links — not routine hygiene.

How long before links move rankings?

Months, typically, and it is rarely a single link that does it. Anyone promising movement in weeks is either selling something that will not last or taking credit for something else.
