Privacy Policy
What this site collects, what it does not, and what to do if you want it removed.
Last updated 11 August 2026. This policy replaces the version dated 30 December 2015.
Who this is
This website is run by Mehul Dedhia, trading as Amrut Services, based in Vadodara, India. I am the person responsible for any personal data collected through this site.
For anything in this policy, including requests about your data, email amrutservices.com@gmail.com.
The short version
This site does not run analytics, advertising or marketing trackers. There is no contact form, no comment section and no mailing list. If you have not emailed or called me, I almost certainly hold nothing about you beyond a line in a server log.
Information you give me directly
If you contact me by email, phone or WhatsApp, I receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, email address, phone number, your website address and whatever you tell me about your situation.
I use that information only to reply, to discuss the work, and to carry it out if you go ahead. I do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone else for their own purposes. I do not add you to a mailing list, because I do not run one.
Legal basis: your enquiry is handled on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and on my legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch. If we work together, the basis becomes performance of our contract.
Information collected automatically
Server logs
My host, WPX, records standard web server logs when you load a page: your IP address, the time, the page requested, your browser and operating system. These are used for security and diagnosing faults, and they are not combined with anything else to identify you.
Login protection
If someone repeatedly fails to log in to the site’s admin area, the IP address of those attempts is recorded to block brute-force attacks. This applies to attempted logins only, not to ordinary visits.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. This site sets very few, and none of them are used for advertising or profiling:
- cookieyes-consent — records your cookie choices so you are not asked on every page.
- wordpress-wpx — set by the hosting platform for session handling.
- wp-settings-1 and wp-settings-time-1 — remember admin screen preferences. These are only set if you log in, so in practice only for me.
- trustedsite_visit and trustedsite_tm_float_seen — set by the TrustedSite security badge shown on the site.
You can refuse non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit, and change your mind at any time through the same banner. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work.
Legal basis: strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interest. Anything non-essential is set only with your consent.
Third parties that receive data
Loading any page means your browser contacts these services, which will see your IP address:
- WPX — hosting. Stores the site and its server logs.
- Google Fonts — the site’s typefaces are served from Google’s servers.
- Google Tag Manager — a tag container is loaded, but it currently contains no tags and collects nothing.
- TrustedSite — the security badge in the corner of the page.
- CookieYes — records your cookie consent choice.
I do not have advertising, remarketing or social media tracking pixels on this site.
Where your data goes
I am based in India and most of my clients are in the United States, with others in the UK, Canada and Australia. If you are in the UK or the EU, email you send me is stored on servers outside your region. Where that happens, it is because it is necessary to provide the service you asked for.
How long I keep things
- Enquiries that do not become work: kept while the conversation is live, then deleted within roughly a year.
- Client correspondence and deliverables: kept for the engagement and afterwards where I need it for records or tax purposes.
- Server logs: retained by my host on their own rolling schedule, typically a matter of weeks.
- Cookie consent record: stored for up to a year, then you will be asked again.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the EU, you have the right to ask me for a copy of the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how I use it, and to receive it in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time.
To exercise any of these, email amrutservices.com@gmail.com. I will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data and you are in the UK, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. If you are in the EU, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, admin access is limited to me and protected against repeated login attempts, and I keep WordPress and its plugins updated. No system is perfectly secure, but I do not collect sensitive personal data through this website, which limits what is at risk.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses. I do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
I may update this page as the site changes. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised. If something material changes, the update will be visible here rather than announced.
